The earlier you go the less people you'll run into. You do hear a lot of the noise coming from the people using the beach which I imagine gets louder as the day goes by. Incredibly narrow trail, fence on both sides and, about 1. Water is clear and clean, life guards on duty. Busy and noisy trail. Very surreal to imagine this used to be a site of solitude. Lovely walk! This a nice walk. We included a visit to the bean field and the house site.
Great quick walk! The trail was nicely shaded, well maintained, and the park was lovely. The only negative was the mosquitos. Definitely bring some bug spray. Forgot to record my trip for the first half mile or so but got here nice and early at sunrise so there were only a few fishermen around. I even ran into a deer.
