Nevertheless, she secretly packs this in a bag for Renesmee to hold onto during the confrontation. Finally, it is time for the Volturi to arrive, and the Cullens and their witnesses are met by the Volturi in a large, snow-covered field.
Though the wolf packs also show up to help the Cullens, they are clearly outnumbered by the Volturi by at least It also appears that Edward will die at the hands of Aro before Bella tears the Volturi's head off.
The scene left many fans in shock, particularly because this confrontation is not present in the book. It is soon revealed that it is only a glimpse into the future, courtesy of Alice's powers.
However, this ending gives viewers a look at what is at stake, especially for the Cullens. It shows the intense greed of the Volturi, who will resort to violence if denied. The series tells us time and time again of Edward and Bella's love for each other, but this scene — despite it not actually happening — shows the extent of that. If Bella is willing to die in Edward's place in "New Moon," she is certainly willing to kill for him and her new family in "Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Unfortunately, Riley gets ripped apart by Seth during a battle on top of a mountain. Laurent is the only guy who can make unbuttoned shirts on-a-bare-chest look like an acceptable fashion statement.

She simply hides behind trees while everyone else kills each other. Victoria transforms Bree into a vampire with the hope of using the girl against Edward. However, Edward kills Victoria and spares Bree. Unfortunately, the Volturi believe that Bree poses too much of a threat as a newborn. It needs to be said upfront. Harry has a really weird death. Most folks assume that Victoria kills Harry off-screen.
